Didn't realised it's so difficult to find the right condo. Being searching for past 3 months and twice that when I thought, "that's it, our dream condo found". But then somehow found out some 'defects', like been close to a mosque, and it's not one but two mosques. And especially during this Puasa/Ramadan month, the loudspeaker is tuned up all the more louder. So would you be able to take the 5.30ish morning wake up 'mosque call'? For me I would, it's my alarm clock. During my younger days, I remember this was my alarm clock to tell me, its time to wait up and go to school. With the multiraces living in Malaysia, there's so many cultural and religion practices by each races, that we learnt or grew to be more accomodating to each other's practices. And we also learnt the different 'perceived' practices of each races, eg. if concern with noise, means ensure there isn't a mosque nearby (it's difficult, we are living in Malaysia where prayers come with loudspeaker). If concern with living with civic mindfulness people, then not in the 'chinese, chinese' area, cos means putting up with double parking, rubbish thrown to your rubbish bin instead of their own, dogs pooing at your front gate....etc. And if you have an Indian neighbour, might just have to put up with this loud Indian music. So how do you win it all? Find an upmarket area! But that comes with a price! And I certainly don't want to spend my twilight years paying mortgages!
So what if one happens to find this dream dream condo, that fits all the criterias and after moving in, the neighbour sold off his condo and in move an Indian neighbour that so happens love to clank up their favourite Indian music loud...do you sell and move???
Sigh.....maybe am just tired of condo hunting, I should just take a break from it before start to hunt again.
Asian woman here compromise to buy a condo instead of landed property to accomodate the Western man's wish and also to ensure that surrounding's quiet. And to me, condo living must comes with great view and big balcony. Otherwise why do one choose to live in condo?
And now after seeing this condo with 'marvellous unobstructive Genting view', 'big balcony', 'close to upmarket area' and at the 'most affordable price for 1,700 sq. ft.', I was just so happy that am thinking 'this is it, finally we got our dream condo'! But in life, there's always compromises, cos there's a mosque on the left and it's not just one mosque but two mosques, one on right and one on left, such is life! Maybe 'sound proof' window helps? Cos noise are louder when it's in the quiet of the morning! Plus one gets immune to it after a while, right!
Hmmmm.....Asian woman should use their Asian charm to change the Western man's mind! But then Asian woman's accomodating, that's why Western man loves Asian woman I suppose!

Buying a house/condo is the same as like in man.
ReplyDeleteHow much are you willing to compromise? Asian women are willing to compromise much more over love.
Life is full of challenges like Gambling. No guarantee on your purchase or decision. but we can control our emotion to accept the situation. Every decision has its consequences. Once we decided our choice, move on to make it happen to the closer result that we wish to have! :-)
ReplyDeleteya, agreed, buying a condo is like getting a man. Whatever it is, there is no perfect choice, we just learn to live and be accomodating to it. Most importantly, be happy!
